February 3, 2006 - George Harrison Reissue News: Ice
Magazine's "Ice Box Chat" has a posting that confirms that new
George Harrison projects are forthcoming (official dates to be
announced). Releases include an "Apple
Years" box set with remasters
of “Wonderwall”, “Electronic Sounds”, “Living In The Material World”,
“Dark Horse” and “Extra Texture” with bonus
tracks. A CD and DVD of the 1974 Dark Horse Tour will also be issued.
The Traveling Wilbury reissues are on hold until Tom Petty completes a
30th anniversary Heartbreakers project. Slated for completion is a
video anthology that Harrison was working on when he died and several
reissues from his Dark Horse label (featuring other artists). There's
no word on when the proposed box set of Harrison solo outtakes and
demos will see the light of day.
