Excerpt from Steve Turner's 'Gospel According to the Beatles' .
The latest issue of "Beatlefan" magazine contains an interview with
Neil Aspinall, who talks about possible forthcoming new Beatles
releases:
The Remasters: "We are in the process of remastering
the Beatles catalogue with upgraded sound and comprehensive booklets."
According to Aspinall, these reissues will start in 2007. He adds that
discussions are still ongoing as to whether to issue separate mono and
stereo CD's or to have them both on one disc where possible.
"Love": There may be a single
released from the soundtrack, with the most likely candidate being the
new mix of "Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows".
Shea Stadium & "Let It
Be": The long awaited release of the concert at Shea Stadium and
"Let It Be" on DVD may happen in 2008, but there are no immediate plans
to release them at the moment.

CD: Paul
McCartney - "Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart)"
Release Date: September 25th
(UK) and 26th (US).
Description: 2006 UK
Limited Edition CD album presented in deluxe hard-back digipak complete
with 60-page booklet.
Originally commissioned by Magdalen College Oxford to commemorate the
550th anniversary of the foundation of the college in 1998, "Ecce Cor
Meum [Behold My Heart]" is an Oratorio written for Magdalen College
Choir, Oxford by Sir Paul McCartney.
It is scored for choir and orchestra and there are four movements, each
of which begins with unaccompanied voices and the text combines both
English and Latin. The music is full of colour and drama and, of
course, a wealth of glorious McCartney melody.
The work's centrepiece, "Interlude (Lament)" is a deeply moving
instrumental tribute to McCartney's late wife Linda.
Paul recounts, "The interlude, which I find the saddest moment was very
much to do with her passing. There's something very sad about those
chords in the interval with oboe playing over them. I find that quite
mysterious how an instrumental passage can reduce you to tears."
The first performance Ecce, as a work in progress took place at the
Sheldonian Theatre in 2001 and this is McCartney's 4th album on EMI
Classics - and it has been a labour of love with more than 8 years in
the making. It features Boys of King's College Choir, Boys of Magdalen
College Choir, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and EMI Debut artist
Kate Royal.
Also available on CD with a 24-page booklet.

DVD: "Stuart Sutcliffe - The Lost Beatle"
Release Date: July 25, 2006,
Kultur Video
Product Description (from amazon.com):
"At art college in Liverpool in
1959, Stuart Sutcliffe met John Lennon and they soon became close -with
Lennon persuading Sutcliffe to use the proceeds of a painting he had
sold to buy a bass guitar and join his band, along with Paul McCartney
and George Harrison. Before long, with drummer Pete Best in the
line-up, they won a contract in Hamburg playing sleazy clubs in the
seedy Reeperbahn area of the city, amidst the casual sex, drugs and
rock 'n' roll of the era. The newly-christened Beatles were on their
way.
With the band on the brink of
success, Sutcliffe left the group to concentrate on his first love,
art, and his new love, German photographer Astrid Kirchherr. But
Stuart's health soon began to decline. On the 10th of April 1962,
Stuart suffered a seizure and slipped into a coma. As Astrid cradled
his head in her hands, Stuart died of a cerebral hemorrhage, cutting
short the life of the promising young artist.
Interviewees include Stuart's
fiancée and Beatles stylist/photographer Astrid Kirchherr, early
Beatles manager Allan Williams, Stuart's sister Pauline Sutcliffe,
Liverpool flatmate to Sutcliffe and Lennon, Rod Murray and esteemed
American art historian and writer Donald Kuspit."

"ACCESS HOLLYWOOD" TO BROADCAST
EXCLUSIVE IN-DEPTH LOOK AT THE BEATLES LOVE BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL HOSTED
BY NANCY O'DELL AND BILLY BUSH
Exclusive Interviews with Paul
McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono & Olivia Harrison Featured

show. (Photo by Tom Myers.)
New York - August 9, 2006 --
"Access Hollywood" takes an exclusive in-depth look at the The Beatles
LOVE, the highly acclaimed latest Cirque du Soleil production, in a
one-hour program hosted by anchors Nancy O'Dell and Billy Bush.
"Access Hollywood" has been
allowed exclusive access to LOVE, which brings the magic of Cirque du
Soleil together with the spirit and passion of The Beatles music to
create a vivid, intimate and powerful entertainment experience. The
special, airing August 19, features behind-the-scenes of the production
from its earliest stages and exclusive interviews with Paul McCartney,
Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison. The special also reveals
secrets of Cirque du Soleil stunts and features interviews with Cirque
du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté and LOVE director Dominic
Champagne, as well as the creative team behind this spectacular
production.
In the special, McCartney tells
"Access Hollywood," "I'm very proud of course of the music we made with
The Beatles and I am very privileged to have been there from the first
track to the last track. I can hardly believe it. It's a slightly
strange feeling. You know it's like I wake up some mornings and think I
was in The Beatles? There's only four people can say that in the world,
in the universe and I'm one of them, you know."
"Access Hollywood" is also
granted an in-depth look at the music behind LOVE, including footage
shot at Abbey Road studios with Sir George Martin and his son Giles,
who together, using the master tapes at Abbey Road Studios, created a
unique soundscape for LOVE (the album for which is currently being
worked on at Abbey Road studios by George and Giles for release later
this year.)
This joint artistic venture marks
the first time that The Beatles company, Apple Corps Ltd., has agreed
to a major theatrical partnership. The project was born out of a
personal friendship and mutual admiration between the late George
Harrison and Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté. LOVE is
performed exclusively at The Mirage in Las Vegas.
The special airs August 19 from 9
- 10 p.m. EST/PST and 8 - 9 p.m. CST exclusively on the NBC Owned and
Operated television stations. KXAS, NBC's Owned station in Dallas will
air the show on August 20 at noon. LOVE will be rebroadcast on
September 2 & 3 on "Access Hollywood" affiliate stations nationwide
in "Access Hollywood's" regularly scheduled time periods (Log on to
AccessHollywood.com to check local time and station). Rob Silverstein
and David Saltz serve as executive producers for the special with,
producer Michael Soares, director Richard Plotkin and senior producer
Claudia Eaton.
